THE DUKE'S PALACE.

A splendid example of Emilian baroque architecture and the summer residence of the Este Dukes from 1634, the Duke's Palace of Sassuolo is a charming, exquisitely elegant building, hence its moniker “Delight”, given the delightful, leisurely lifestyle for whose purpose it had been created. With frescoes by the renowned French artist Jean Boulanger, it epitomizes cultural refinement paired with a flair for the spectacular and, thanks to its extensive gardens, it blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Just as the Duke's Palace of Sassuolo delighted the Este Court with its splendor, so our Balsamic Vinegars delight consumers around the world with an authentic taste that remains true to tradition.

THE DUKE'S PESCHIERA.

Once the “Theatre of Fountains”, the Duke’s Peschiera is a monumental open-air masterpiece, originally dedicated to spectacular water features. Towering above the pool is the Este Eagle, framed within an elegant stone oval. The choice of this Duke’s emblem as our trademark testifies to our desire to ensure Delizia Estense perpetuates the noblest tradition of our area, for quality cuisine that looks to the present day and the future.

MONTEGIBBIO CASTLE.

Surrounded by a romantic English-style garden and ancient woodland, the medieval castle is perched atop the hills that skirt the Secchia river, a few kilometres from Sassuolo. The elevated position affords clear views over the Po Plain, all the way to the Prealps of the Veneto region. A short distance away, surrounded by vineyards, our vinegar farmhouse welcomes visitors, offering them a unique tasting experience.

A DYNAMIC LAND.

For a long time, Sassuolo was the summer residence of the Este Dukes. Chosen for its auspicious geographical position at the foot of the hills and near the Secchia river, the town and surrounding area prospered over time and eventually became a financial capital of the international ceramic industry, while still maintaining close ties to old traditions.

In the vicinity, a number of top tourist attractions like the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, the Thermal Hot Springs at Salvarola, and the Salse di Nirano mud volcanoes, complete the attractive offering of an area just waiting to be explored.
